SUMMARY:National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
DESCRIPTION:This day honours the victims who never made it home and celebra
 tes the survivors of residential schools\, their families and communities.
  It is a day to commemorate the tragic and painful history and ongoing imp
 acts of residential schools. It is a day to take part in services or cerem
 onies and to educate yourself on the history of residential schools.\nThe 
 Town of Balgonie has passed a resolution in 2022 to close the office to ho
 nour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The Town Office will b
 e closed on Monday\, September 30th. Should you require emergency assistan
 ce\, please call 306-535-4235. Our regular office hours will resume on Tue
