Lain Lovelace
Mayor
I am happy and humbled to have the opportunity to serve the community as Mayor. Balgonie has been my home since 1988, where my wife Virginia and I raised our two children.
Providing first rate services and maintaining a close-knit, small-town atmosphere while developing responsible commercial opportunities to supplement the tax base will continue to be my focus. Another ongoing priority is to provide a safe and sustainable community for everyone.
My 37 years as a professional engineer and leadership experiences have allowed me to make a unique contribution on Council. Over the past twelve years, the Town has moved forward with many positive accomplishments; I intend to continue this course, working along side the Balgonie Town Council in service of the community.
I take great pride in calling Balgonie my home.
Thank you!

I am deeply grateful to the citizens of Balgonie for re-electing me for a fourth term to Balgonie Town Council for the 2024 to 2028 term. It is an honor to continue working for our vibrant community.
